Includes a letter dated 8 September 1847, 20 miles east of the South Pass, to Clarissa Young in the Great Salt Lake Valley, which expresses his concern for his family, his health, land emigrant companies. It is incomplete. Also includes a draft drawn by Brigham Young for the Manti Temple depicting the baptismal font. Includes signatures of Brigham Young, George A. Smith, and Daniel H. Wells with a hair clipping of Brigham Young.
